Tadcaster Volunteer Car Service Association was formed in 1991 to provide a community based transport service for Tadcaster and surrounding villages. In 2017, the charity was re-registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisations . It's primary aims remain the same however, in line with Charity Commission expectations it broadened its charitable purpose to offer other services to its existing clients. This was reflected in its new name of Tadcaster Volunteer Cars and Services Association.
Unfortunately all the history from the Charity Commission website is lost when the original charity closes, so we have included it here so that you can see the compliance history.

After the 2015 Boxing Day floods our office was badly damaged, so we could no longer work there.
Temporarily we moved to our chairman's dining room while renovations where done, however we knew this was likely to happen again, so we looked for a new building.
In 2018 we moved to Fisher-More Chambers. Thanks to the work of our wonderful volunteers' hard we had a bright new office to work in and some new facilities. This allowed exciting new developments, including our charity shop and social groups.
As our work expanded, we needed a larger space. So, in 2022 we investigated options. We soon realized that buying a building would be more sustainable. With this in mind we found 30 Kirkgate. A stone's throw from our current site but with the space we needed.
Once we had found our new building, work started to make the dream a reality.
One of our team produced 3D drawings of the space to help visualize what we were planning.
Along with the new space, to reflect the changing organisation we have registered our new name and will now be known as Tadcaster Volunteer Community Support Association.
